シルバーマント
世の中には多くの白銀比率である建造物や製品や絵画などがありますが、これらは全体像をみて１つの白銀比であるとしたものです。この事象に対し、白銀比を多数的に取り入れた表現をすることを目的に制作しました。人を覆うことができるほどの大きさのアルミシートに988個の大小様々な白銀比の長方形のエンボス加工を行いました。結果、爬虫類の皮膚のような見た目になり、アルミシートの強度や柔軟性が増した有機的なものとなりました。これらは生物の細胞にも白銀比があるということが関係していると考えられます。

The majority of the buildings, products, and paintings in the world utilize the silver ratio in thei
r planning and design. However, as a whole, these are but a small fraction of the many ways the silver ratio can be employed. I created Silver Cloak with the aim of showcasing the different ways the silver ratio manifests itself in the world. Aluminum sheets large enough to cover a person wereembossed with 988 rectangles in various sizes following a pattern based on the silver ratio. The result is a reptilian skin-like organic appearance with the increased strength and flexibility of the aluminum sheet. As we’re looking at these patterns, we can think about the similarities that exist between the silver ratio and living organisms.
