竹垣の技術を用いた立てかけシェルフ。竹垣の一種類である袖垣のn のような形を家具に再解釈して、暮らしの中に竹を感じられるようにデザインしました。特徴的な曲げの箇所は、竹をバーナーで炙りながら手作業でていねいに曲げることで、上部と下部に竹のしなやかさと柔らかさを感じさせてくれる曲線を生み出しました。

A leaning shelf utilizing bamboo fence techniques. We reinterpreted the n-shaped form of the sode-gaki, a type of bamboo fence, into furniture design to bring the feel of bamboo into daily life. The distinctive curved sections are meticulously hand-bent by carefully heating the bamboo with a burner, creating curves that convey the bamboo’s suppleness and softness at both the top and bottom.
